NORFOLK, Va - Old Dominion men’s soccer takes a break from Sun Belt Conference play to match up with in-state foe William & Mary on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. at the Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field.

The game will be streamed to FloSports and live stats will be available for all fans who wish to follow along with the action.

LAST TIME OUT:

Old Dominion came away with a 2-0 win last season on Sept. 10, 2024 in Norfolk. Forward Michael Eberle opened the scoring in the seventh minute thanks to an assist by William Arnesen. Arnesen was on the receiving end of a double assist from Key White and Lewis Redding in the 86th minute to put the game to bed.

ABOUT ODU:

The Monarchs are coming off a 2-1 defeat to #25 Georgia Southern on Friday night in Norfolk. ODU stands at 2-3-2 overall this season and are 0-1-0 in Sun Belt Conference play. Old Dominion has one more non-conference matchup against Regent on October 14, 2025.

Junior midfielder Jake Lane leads the team with three goals and two assists for eight points. Alex Kryazhev has two goals and three assists for seven points and Lewis Rourke has three goals for six points. Old Dominion ranks third in the Sun Belt for shutouts (3) and assists with 1.86 per game. The Monarchs also rank second in saves per game (3.14) in the SBC. The Monarchs have worked the corner flag more than their opponents with a +4 margin in corner kicks. 

Senior goalkeeper Michael Statham has started seven games in goal, he has made 22 saves and has three clean sheets this season. He ranks first in the Sun Belt in saves made and saves made per game and is second in shutouts and shutouts per game. His .688 save percentage is good for third in the conference.

ABOUT W&M:

The Tribe are coming off a 1-1 draw against Elon in Williamsburg on Saturday. William & Mary is 0-2-1 in their last three games played after losing 7-0 to #2 NC State and 5-0 to UNCW. The Tribe are led by head coach Chris Norris who is in his 22nd year with the program.

Sam Delgado ranks first on the Tribe with five points on two goals and one assist. Hamilton Howes, Webb Kosich, and Aidan Morrison have all chipped in one goal for two points. Diogo Branco is the team’s leading passer with two assists in seven games played.

Ryan Eapen, Jack Gorman, and Karan Sobti have all split time in net this season. Eapen and Sobti have both made three starts and Gorman has started one game and played 135 minutes in goal. As a unit the three goalkeepers have 36 saves and 21 goals allowed.
