COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - Old Dominion field hockey’s Suus Broers, Sian Emslie and Serena Langendoen are among the 195 players selected to the 2025 NFHCA D1 Watchlist, as the NFHCA announced on Tuesday.
The list highlights field hockey student-athletes with the potential for consideration for the 2025 NFHCA All-Region and All-American teams.
Broers, in her 3rd season at ODU, has been named Preseason BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year for two consecutive seasons, as well as making the Preseason BIG EAST All-Conference Team. The native of Utrecht in the Netherlands, Broers was also named to the NFCHA 2024 South All-Region Second Team and became a two-time second-team All-BIG EAST Goalkeeper selection. In 2024, Broers started all 18 games at goal for ODU, made 49 saves, and recorded two shutouts.
Emslie, in her 2nd season at ODU, was named to the NFHCA 2024 South All-Region Second Team. In 2024, Emslie saw action in all 18 games, starting 16, scoring 11 goals, and dishing three assists for 25 points.
Langendoen, also in her 2nd season at ODU, was named to the Second Team ALL-BIG EAST and NFCHA 2024 South All-Region Second Team in her first collegiate season. Starting all 18 games of the season on defense, she scored seven goals and recorded one assist for 15 points. She also scored the game-winning goal in overtime against James Madison in a 3-2 Monarch victory.
Old Dominion opens the 2025 regular season on August 29 against VCU at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex at 5 p.m.
