NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion’s men’s and women’s tennis have released their schedules for the 2025 fall season.

Both teams will return to the court after women’s tennis won its fifth straight conference championship while the men won its third straight SBC championship last spring. ODU women’s tennis ended their season with a 19-5 record while men’s tennis held a 17-9 record.

ODU women’s tennis begins its fall with the Kitty Harrison Invitational September 12-14 before moving to the ITA All American Championships September 20-28. The Monarchs then travel to California for the ITF 35k Pro Circuit September 22nd and 29th before returning to the east coast for the Clemson Duckworth Duals October 3-5.

The Monarchs return to Virginia to compete in the Wahoo Invitational October 10-12. ODU stays in Virginia for the ITA Regional Tournament in Blacksburg October 16-21 while ending the month of October with another ITF 35k Pro Circuit, this time in Oklahoma, as well as the Rome Invitational in Georgia and the ITF 15k Pro Circuit in South Carolina. To round out the fall, women’s tennis will compete in the ITA Sectional Tournament, Masters Cup, and NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships November 18-23.

The Kitty Harrison tournament and Clemson Duckworth Duals will be played in hidden dual format, while the ITF Pro Circuit events will be played by the Monarch’s top players that hold a pro ranking. The ITA Regional Tournament, ITA Masters Cup, and ITA Sectional tournaments are events that determine qualifications for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.

“We are looking forward to kicking the 2025-2026 season off,” women’s tennis head coach Dominic Manilla said. “We have a strong core of players that are focused on developing through a challenging but familiar schedule. The coaches in the Sun Belt Conference have recruited well. Competing for championships in April starts as a team in September. I am pleased with the dedication our players have put in on their own over the summer and I am excited about the recruits we are looking to add in January. We are eager to be all together again and get to work.”

For ODU men’s tennis, the Monarchs begin the fall with the Liberty Hidden Dual from Sep. 26-28. They will kick off October in Blacksburg for the ITA Regionals, before going to Farnsworth Hidden Dual from October 31 to November 2 to round out the month. In November, the Monarchs will participate in the ITA Sectionals and ITA Conference Masters from Nov. 6-10 in Chapel Hill and San Diego respectively. The season ends in Orlando, Florida, where ODU competes in the NCAA Individual Championships if qualified.

“We are excited for another season to start,” men’s tennis head coach Dominik Mueller said. “The fall always allows us to get ready for the Spring dual match season by having our players get a lot of match play in. Having three new players on the roster makes our team look quite different, so seeing all eight in match play this fall will be very important to us.”
