DALLAS – Old Dominion linebacker Jason Henderson was named to the Bronko Nagurski Preseason Watch List, the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) announced on Tuesday. The Nagurski Award is given to the national defensive player of the year by the Charlotte Touchdown Club.

A two-time All-American, Henderson redshirted in 2024 after playing in one game.

In 2022, he led the country with 186 tackles and earned first-team All-Sun Belt honors and second-team All-America honors.

Henderson finished with 170 tackles in 2023, led the country with 14.2 tackles per game, and finished third in the country with 1.6 tackles for loss per game.
