NEW ORLEANS – Old Dominion University Football had four players on the Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Team, as Zach Barlev and Jason Henderson were named to the first team and Kris Trinidad and Koa Naotala earned second team honors, the league announced on Monday.
The voting was conducted by the league’s 14 head coaches and members of the media.
Barlev earned third team All-Sun Belt Conference honors a season ago after starting all 12 games on the offensive line. A transfer from Illinois, Barlev started the first three games at left guard before starting the final nine at left tackle. He was a big reason the Monarchs led the Sun Belt and finished 14th in the country in rushing with 210 yards per game.
Henderson missed all but one game in 2024 but is a two-time All-American that led the country in tackles per game in 2023 and 2024.
Trinidad led the Monarchs last season in sacks with 5.5 and in tackles for loss with 10.5 to earn third team All-Sun Belt Conference honors.
Naotala led the 2024 Monarchs with 88 tackles. A second team All-Sun Belt performer, Naotala also added 3.5 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss.
The Monarchs were picked to finish fifth in the Sun Belt East.
