NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion Volleyball has added a home match versus Wake Forest on September 20. First serve against the Demon Deacons is set for 3 p.m. at the ODU Volleyball Center.
“It’s great to add another quality opponent in Wake Forest,” said ODU Head Coach Fred Chao. “We are always looking to challenge ourselves in our non-conference schedule to prepare us for the tough Sun Belt opponents ahead.”
The match will mark the first-ever meeting between the two programs and the fifth time that ODU will have taken the court against an ACC opponent. It will also be the third of four regular season matches versus Power Four opponents in 2025. The Monarchs will host West Virginia in the Quest for the Crown on August 29, play a neutral match against Maryland at UMBC on September 5, and will take on NC State in the VCU Invitational on September 21 in Richmond.
Wake Forest finished 13-18 overall last season and had one match against a Sun Belt opponent, a 3-1 victory over App State on September 20, 2024 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
