POINT CLEAR, Ala. – Lucia Gonzalez carded a one-under par 71 with Puneet Bajwa carding a two-over par 74 to lead Old Dominion women’s golf in Tuesday’s second round of the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championship.
The tournament is being played at Lakewood Golf Club’s Dogwood course.
Old Dominion currently sits in 10th place with a 29-over par 605 with the final round of stroke play tomorrow. Gonzalez hit the front nine for par and birdied the first hole of the back nine before hitting for par on the remaining holes. Bajwa stroked in two birdies but also bogeyed on holes four and 11.
Carley Rudolph turned in a 7-over 79 and sits in 29th place, Mariana Arronte is also tied for 29th at 7-over with a 151, and Barbara Car posted a round of 88 and is 67th with a 172 (+28).
Old Dominion sat in 11th place entering the round after a 16-over first round, the Monarchs improved by three strokes for a 13-over on Tuesday to move into 10th place. First place Georgia Southern (577, +1) is seven strokes above second place Coastal Carolina (584, +8) with ULM (585, +9) sitting in third place.
USM’s Momoka Ando is the overall leader after recording a four-under par 68 on Tuesday to improve to six-under for the championship. GS’s Louise Reau and ULM’s Daniela Campillo are both tied for second with three-under par.
“If we have the best round of the year tomorrow, we will have a chance to make match play” said ODU Head Coach Mallory Kane.
ODU will be paired with JMU for Wednesday’s final round. The Monarchs will tee off from the 10th hole between 9:45-10:21 a.m. ET.
