NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University men's golf Head Coach Murray Rudisill announced on Friday that Vincent Berggren has signed with the program. He is the second commit for the 2025 recruiting class alongside Quin Covington and the pair will join the Monarchs next fall.

“Vincent’s accomplishments in the classroom and on the golf course are superb. Along with his enthusiasm for Old Dominion, he will be a wonderful addition to the team and the university,” said Associate Head Coach Barry Marple.

A native of Norway, Berggren attended Wang Sports Academy and comes from Oslo Golf Club, where he is the current club champion. Vincent has won the Regional Junior Tour Order of Merit twice and finished second in the Østlands Tour Order of Merit in 2024. Other highlights include a second-place finish in the National Youth Championship and a third-place finish in the Srixon Tour at Sola.

Berggren was a member of the Norwegian Junior National Team, where he had the chance to represent Norway in several tournaments across Europe. Recently, Vincent played three tournaments on the Winter Tour in Marbella, competing in strong fields with a mix of professionals and amateurs. He made the cut in all three events and was awarded Low Amateur. He also finished third at the Toro Tour before returning home to Norway.

"I’m very excited to have signed with Old Dominion! I chose ODU because I felt a good connection with Coach Marple, and I have heard great things from former players – especially about the team’s great culture and the encouragement from the coaching staff. This culture combined with access to many excellent courses to practice on, and great opportunities for academic development made it an easy choice," said Berggren.
