NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced its 2025 Postseason All-Conference Awards on Monday and Old Dominion Women’s Basketball player En'Dya Buford has been named to the All-Sun Belt Second Team.
The graduate student from Memphis, Tennessee leads ODU in scoring this season with 409 points (13.2 ppg) and started all 31 games during the regular season. She leads the conference and ranks 18th nationally with 76 steals and is also second in the league with 122 free throws made, 150 free throw attempts, and 132 assists. Buford is currently third in the SBC with 2.45 steals per game and 4.3 assists per game. Her other totals include 45 three-pointers, 186 rebounds (6.0 rpg), and nine blocks.
Buford scored in double figures 21 times and recorded three double-doubles. She scored 21 points with a career high 14 rebounds against East Carolina on Dec. 15, then followed with 16 points and 10 rebounds in a win at Howard on Dec. 17. Her best outing came in ODU’s win over Arkansas State on Feb. 20 as she posted new career bests with 32 points, 10 assists, and five threes. She also shot 13-for-14 at the free-throw line and added seven boards with four steals to her final line.
In conference play, Buford paced the offense with 255 points (14.2 ppg) and 13 double figure games. She also grabbed 114 rebounds (6.3 rpg) with 90 assists, 50 steals, and seven blocks.
The Monarchs (17-14, 9-9 Sun Belt) enter the Sun Belt Championship as the No. 5 seed and will play on Friday, March 7 at 12:30 p.m. EST. The conference tournament is being held at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Florida. The Sun Belt Championship Final is scheduled for Monday, March 10 at 2 p.m. EST and will air on ESPN2 with the winner earning the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
