NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion’s Lacrosse’s McKenzie Raech has been named American Athletic Conference Defender of the Week and Sarah Murrell has been named Freshman of the Week for the second time, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Raech had a game-high nine draw controls, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers in the 11-9 defeat at Furman. The senior from Wallingford, Pennsylvania led all players with three caused turnovers, four ground balls, and five draw controls against Gardner-Webb in a 16-3 win over the Bulldogs.

Murrell scored four goals this week, registering a hat trick in the loss to Furman and grabbed five draw controls. The Freshman out of Perryville, Maryland had one goal and controlled two ground balls in the win at Gardner-Webb. Murrell ranks third in the AAC with nine goals this season.

Old Dominion (3-1) will be in action on Saturday, Feb. 22 at noon. against the Campbell Camels at the LR Hill Sports Complex.
