Norfolk, Va. - The Old Dominion rowing team will head to Mercer, N.J. for the Frostbite Regatta, the final Regatta of the fall season on November 9.
The 2000-meter race will be hosted by the Pennsylvania Barge Club, it will be seven lanes across. Old Dominion competes in five events out of the 32 that will be held.
“The Frostbite Regatta is definitely a different race than anything we have raced this fall. It is a 2000-meter race with seven lanes across. This is like the spring racing that we will see this coming year. I wanted to give the team a taste of what that will look like as we will move indoors after this weekend and begin winter training for the spring season,” said ODU Head Coach Brian Conley.

“I have seen a lot of good growth out of the boats this week and the boats have started to be excited about this form of racing because this is really what we want to do. We want to line up against someone side by side and put it all out there and just see who is faster directly on that day. That is the fun we look forward to.” said Conley.
