NEW ORLEANS – Old Dominion Quarterback Colton Joseph was named a Davey O’Brien Great 8 Award nominee, the organization announced on Monday.
In Old Dominion’s 47-19 Thursday night win over Georgia Southern, Joseph Completed 20-of-26 passes for a career-high 304 yards and career-best four touchdown passes. He also rushed eight times for 69 yards and a touchdown.
Joseph passed for 268 yards and all four of his touchdown passes in the first half, including a career-long 56-yard touchdown toss to Pat Conroy. Old Dominion led 30-7 at halftime in the win over the Eagles.
Joseph leads the Monarchs and is eighth in the league with six rushing touchdowns.
