NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion women's golf has its final tournament of its fall season this week as the Monarchs head to West Point, Mississippi to play in The Ally. Mississippi State is hosting the three-day tournament at Old Waverly Golf Club, which is 6,284 total yards with a par of 72.
Teams will tee off from the first and 10th holes between 9:30 -11:36 a.m. ET on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday’s start time is still to be determined. Fans will be able to follow with live stats on Scoreboard.
The field will consist of 16 teams representing the Big 10, Conference USA, SEC, SoCon, and the Sun Belt. Along with the host Bulldogs and ODU will be Auburn, Florida, Indiana, Jacksonville State, James Madison, Mercer, Sam Houston, Southern Miss, Troy, UAB, ULM, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin. In the most recent rankings released by Scoreboard, Mississippi State is fifth in the nation, Vanderbilt is 11th, and Auburn is 19th.
The lineup for ODU will consist of Barbara Car, Lucia Gonzalez, Puneet Bajwa, Alina Shchepteva and Carley Rudolf with Mariana Arronte playing as an individual. Monday’s opening round will see the Monarchs teeing off from the 10th hole between 10:51-11:36 a.m. ET, beginning with Arronte.
This week marks the third straight year that ODU will compete in The Ally. The Monarchs finished fifth out of 11 teams in 2022. Gonzalez led the team that year with a five-over par 221 to tie for 13th. Last year, the team ended up 11th out 12 teams with a final score of 917 (+53). Gonzalez was once again the top finisher for the Monarchs, tying for 32nd at 10-over 226.
