NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Women's Rowing team is back in action on Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30 at the Sunshine Invitational in Sarasota, Florida.
Three teams will compete in the following races: The first Varsity 8 team will be Lucy Brennan, Sydney Blackburn, Sofia Bespalova, Nicole Knight, Jo Copeland, Maddie Enns, Helen Schuette, Callie Crook and Libby Guindon as the coxswain.
The second varsity 8 team will feature Jinjoo Noh, Olivia Kruse, Kendall Freeman, Gillian Battersby, Bekah Kimman, Sophie Sherman, Nikki DiBacco, Lilly Baumann and Savannah Hartlove as the coxswain.
The varsity 4 team will be represented by Alexis Durand, Emma Spinelli, Kaila Smith, Catherine Wilson and Ellie Gortz will be thr coxswain.
"Sunshine Invite is a strong test of our speed and progress as a team. The field this year is a bit deeper too and will include some future Big 12 Conference competitors along with Tulsa from our current conference. I think the team has gotten faster with some of the things we've done since we last raced and I am excited to see us put it all together," said head coach Brian Conley.
