NORFOLK, Va. – TheOld Dominion women's golf team is headed to John's Island, South Carolina to play in the Briar's Creek Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston this Monday and Tuesday at the Golf Club at Briar's Creek.
 
The course has a par of 72 and is 6,152 total yards. The Invitational will open with 36 holes on Monday, followed by the final 18 on Tuesday. Both days will have 8:30 a.m. shotgun starts.
 
Aside from the Monarchs and tournament host Cougars, other teams competing in the Invitational include Boston College, Campbell, No. 10 Florida, Georgetown, Illinois, No. 37 Maryland, No. 48 Miami, No. 35 Michigan State, Nebraska, NC State, Penn State, No. 26 Purdue, Rutgers, No. 17 UCF and Wisconsin.
 
The field will feature a total of 103 golfers. Puneet Bajwa, Lucia Gonzalez, Klara Wildhaber, Leiu Yuenyong and Carley Rudolf will make up the lineup for ODU with Sarah Mardani competing as an individual.
 
This will be the sixth consecutive year the Monarchs will play in the Briar's Creek Invitational. Last year saw ODU finished tied for 11th as a team with Wildhaber turning in a five-over par 221 to tie for 29th.
