PRINCETON, N.J. – The Old Dominion women's tennis team finished a nationally-ranked opponent road trip on Friday dropping a 4-2 decision to 33rd-ranked Princeton.
"Being able to play a tough hand well is a virtue of a good team. I feel we are a great team. I'm impressed with the grit this young team showed the past two matches, in the face of adversity on one of our toughest road trips. I'm excited for Sun Belt play next week, go Monarchs, said ODU Head Coach Dominic Manilla.
In doubles, the Monarchs took the team point with wins at the top two spots. Sofia Johnson and Lidiia Rasskouskaia won the last two games to take a 6-4 win over Maia Sung and Madeleine Jessup at No. 1.
