ATLANTA – Old Dominion University freshman swimmer Zachary Redding was named the ASUN Swimmer of the week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
The freshman from Middletown, Delaware won a pair of events in the Monarchs' Senior Day win over American this past Saturday, taking the top spot in the 100 freestyle with a time of 46.79 and in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:54.07.
The honor is the first of Redding's career at ODU.
Redding and the rest of the ODU men's swimming team hits the pool next at the ASUN Championships beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 21 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
