NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion men's tennis team announced its 2023 fall schedule on Wednesday with up to six events, including a couple of new stops.

September will see the Monarchs compete twice on the same weekend as ODU will host the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club College Invitational on September 22-24 with Virginia Tech, James Madison, William & Mary, College of Charleston and Norfolk State participating. A handful of players will head to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to participate in the UNC Fall Invitational as well.

In October, ODU will head to Liberty to compete in the ITA Atlantic Regionals from October 11-16. Two weeks later, the Monarchs will visit Blacksburg to compete at the Virginia Tech Hidden Duals from October 27-29.

The fall season will close in early November at the Wake Forest Invitational from November 3-5. If anyone qualifies out of the ITA Regionals for Fall Nationals, that will be from November 1-5 in San Diego.

"It's that time of the year again to gear up for another season and the fall gives us the opportunity to train hard and get lots of quality match play in before the team season starts," said ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller. "I think we found a good balance between some traditional singles tournaments and hidden duals to get the newcomers into a little more realistic environment of how a team match will be come January. We are thrilled to host a tournament at the Norfolk Yacht Country Club. Their support and their willingness to partner with us for that weekend means a lot and will be a great showcase of college tennis for our local tennis community."
