NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University men's golf has added another future Monarch for 2024 as Associate Head Coach Barry Marple announced the signing of Garret Cameron on Tuesday.

Cameron is the second member of the recruiting class after Jakub Sutor also committed to the program. The pair will join the Monarchs next fall.

"Garret is a talented golfer with impressive accomplishments in a short amount of time. His future is bright, and I'm thrilled he and his family trusted us with it," said Marple.

A native of Barre, Vermont, Cameron attends Spaulding High School and captured the individual title at the Vermont Division I State Championship, hosted by The Golf Club at Basin Harbor in early October. After carding a one-over par on the front nine, he birdied two of the first four holes after the turn to card a one-under 70, six shots better than the second-place finisher. Cameron was also the individual medalist at the Newport Invitational with a two-under round of 70, helping his team place third, and tied for 13th at the New England High School Championship.

"I am excited and honored to be part of the Monarch family and eager to see the opportunities that arise at Old Dominion," said Cameron.
