NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion Football linebacker Jason Henderson added another All-America honor to his list on Wednesday as he was named first-team All-America by the Sporting News. Henderson was one of two Group of Five players to earn first-team All-America honors.

Henderson is leading the country in tackles with 170 and tackles per game with 14.2 and ranks third in the land with 19.5 tackles for loss. He recorded 11 double-digit tackle games, including three games in which he reached double figure tackles in the first half.

Henderson owns ODU records for single game (22, CCU) season (186, 2022) and career (436) tackles along with the 19.5 tackles for loss this season. His 436 career tackles are the second most by an active player next to Iowa's Nick Jackson who has 445.
