NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Field Hockey team rides a 10-game winning streak into the BIG EAST Conference Tournament and will take on the host and number three seeded Temple Owls on Friday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. at Howarth Field.

ODU wrapped up the regular season last Friday with a 3-2 overtime win over UConn. The win snapped a 13-game losing streak and the team's first win in 10 years against the Huskies. Rina Tsioles scored the game-winning goal.
Leading the Monarchs offensively is Marlon de Bruijne with 40 points and 17 goals and Sacha de Gier follows her with 27 points and 11 goals. Frederique Zandbergen is the team leader in assists with 13. In goal is Suus Broers who has made 46 saves and has 1.18 goals against average and she has five shutouts and three combined shutouts.
Temple is coming off a 2-0 weekend with a 3-2 overtime with over Quinnipiac on Friday and a 1-0 win over Lafayette on Sunday, with the win the on Friday the Owls clinched a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament. Leading Temple offensively is Tess Muller with 18 points and six goals. The leader in assists is Alizé Maes with eight.
The Monarch and Owls met earlier this season in Norfolk as it saw an ODU victory 1-0. Last season Old Dominion and Temple met in the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament at Old Dominion and the Monarchs and Owls would go to a penalty shootout tied 3-3 and ODU would defeat Temple 4-3 in the shootout.
