Game Notes Old Dominion      Coastal Carolina

• Old Dominion hosts Coastal Carolina for the first time since the 2012 FCS playoffs as the Monarchs entertain the Chanticleers on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+.

• Old Dominion suffered a 30-27 setback at No. 25 James Madison last Saturday.

• Coastal defeated Marshall 34-6 in its Homecoming game.

• Quarterback Grant Wilson set career-highs at James Madison, completing 26-of-36 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns. It was Wilson's third-straight game without throwing an
interception.

• For the first time this season, James Madison allowed a team to rush for more than 100 yards as ODU rushed for 138 yards against the Dukes.

• Running backs Kadarius Calloway and Keshawn Wicks combined for 139 yards on 28 carries. Wicks had 11 carries for 74 yards, including a career-long 36 yards, while Calloway had 17 attempts for 65 yards.

• Safety Tahj Ra-El and linebacker Wayne Matthews each recorded 10 tackles at JMU. ODU has had at least two players every game this season register at least 10 tackles.

Wilson Taking Control
Quarterback Grant Wilson started his sixth game of the season at quarterback and second-straight since his three-interception game against Texas A&M Commerce. He has not thrown an interception since, going 79-straight passes without an interception.

At JMU, Wilson had his best day as a Monarch, completing 26-of-36 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns.

Since his benching against A&M Commerce, Wilson has tossed three touchdowns and no interceptions.

This Isn't Easy
Old Dominion's stretch run of the season is a difficult schedule, starting last week at JMU, the final five opponents all had a winning record. The combined record of the final four opponents stands at 25-7, with all but JMU (FBS transition) and Coastal Carolina, have yet to reach bowl eligibility.

Henderson Leads the Country in Tackles, Again
Junior linebacker Jason Henderson had eight tackles and two tackles for loss at James Madison.

Adding to his tackling prowess, Henderson has improved on the tackles for loss department. He already has 15 tackles for loss on the year, surpassing his total of 10 last season.

Last year Henderson led the country in tackles in 2022 with 186. He led the No. 2 tackler in the nation by 39 and the No. 2 tackler in the Sun Belt by 51.
