NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's soccer team will finish their regular season with their second straight game against a top-six nationally-ranked opponent facing second-ranked West Virginia on Tuesday night in Morgantown, West Virginia.
 
The game is the final regular season contest for head coach Alan Dawson who is retiring at the end of the season.
 
ODU (5-5-5, 2-4-1) played sixth-ranked Marshall to a scoreless first half, but saw the Thundering Herd put up a pair of second-half goals in a 2-0 decision on Friday night in the home finale.
 
West Virginia (11-1-4, 4-1-3) was unbeaten through its first 15 matches of the season until dropping a 1-0 decision at Kentucky on Friday night.
 
The Mountaineers used a pair of goals from Marcus Caldeira in a five-minute span early in the contest to take last year's matchup 4-0 in Norfolk on October 8, 2022.

Jonas Schmalbach leads the team in scoring with five goals and one assist for 11 points. William Arnesen has three goals and two assists for eight points, with Karan Mandair tied along side has four goals for eight points. Michael Eberle has three goals and one assist for seven points.

Michael Statham has four shutouts now and shares the lead in the Sun Belt with 58 saves and third in save percentage at .753.

Mandair has matched Ryan Condotta for most penalty kicks made in a season with his fourth against Campbell. Condotta was also 4-for-4 in 2015 and both have made all five career attempts.

Caldeira leads the Sun Belt Conference in goals scored with 12 and has one assist for a team-high 25 points. Yutaro Tsukada and Sergio Ors Navarro follow him with five goals, while Luke McCormick has four.
