NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's soccer team makes their longest trip of the regular season heading to San Marcos, Texas to face Texas State on Thursday night.
Old Dominion (10-1-3, 5-1-1) comes into the match after a 1-0 win over App State at home. Megan Watts' blast in the 55th minute put the Monarchs on top and a stingy defense kept the Mountaineers off the board.
Texas State (7-5-3, 2-2-3) enters the game after a 0-0 draw against James Madison on the road. The Bobcats are 1-2-3 in their last six matches highlighted by a 4-0 win over Coastal Carolina.
This is the first-ever meeting between the schools.

Ece Turkoglu leads the Monarchs in goals scored with five and points with 11 adding one assist to her total. Watts now has four goals on the year for eight points, with Anna Tørsløv following her in points scored with seven adding three goals and one assist.
Andrea Balcazar Algarin, Aleigha Arndt and Madison Micheletti have a pair of assists each to lead the Monarchs in that category.
In the net, Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week Emily Bredek leads the nation in goals against average (0.291), third in save percentage (.902) and fifth in shutouts with nine. Her nine shutouts ties the school single season record.
As a team, the Monarchs lead the country in goals against average (0.286) and save percentage (0.902).

Olivia Wright leads Texas State in scoring with five goals and two assists for 12 points. Victoria Meza is next with three goals and a team best four assists for 10 points. Zoe Junior, Mady Soumare and Halle Garcia join Meza with three goals apiece.
As a team, Texas State has outscored opponents 24-17 this year. In conference play, Wright leads with three goals.
In the net, Caitlyn Draper has seen the most action with 12 appearances and nine starts. She has a 0.83 goals against average, a .837 save percentage and five shutouts.
