NEW YORK – Old Dominion Field Hockey captain and graduate student Nicole Fredricks has been named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for her performance over the weekend the conference announced on Tuesday.
Fredricks a West Chester, Pennsylvania native helped lead the Monarchs to a 2-0 weekend with two shutouts. She scored her first goal of the season on Sunday in the 4-0 win over William & Mary. Fredricks was a preseason BIG EAST All-Conference Selection.
Fredricks and the Monarchs are back in action on Friday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. when they will travel to Providence.
