Roche Starts
True freshman running back Devin Roche became the first freshman to start a game this season for Old Dominion. The Baltimore native had seven carries for 38 yards in his start against Texas A&M Commerce and caught three passes for 13 yards.

ODU started three true freshmen in 2022; wide receivers Ahmarian Granger and Peter Kikwata, and defensive end Jaylon White-McClain

Roche had two carries for 27 yards in the opener at Virginia Tech, but fumbled on his second carry and did not play against Lousiana. He led ODU with career bests against Louisiana with 11 carries for 86 yards and a career long 37-yard run.

Williams' Turn
For the fourth-straight game Old Dominion had a different leading receiver. Ahmarian Granger, Reymello Murphy, Javon Harvey and now Kelby Williams.

Williams exploded on the scene with eight grabs for 197 yards and a touchdown in the win over Texas A&M Commerce.

Entering the game against A&M Commerce, the Houston native had five catches for 63 yards.

All He Does is Catch Touchdowns
Wide receiver Dominic Dutton has just four catches in four games for ODU, however, two of them have been for touchdowns.

He notched ODU's first TD of the season at Virginia Tech, and caught a 40-yard score in the win over A&M Commerce.

Dutton is a former sprinter for the South Carolina track team.

Tackling Frenzy
Jason Henderson leads the country in tackles (again) but he is being joined by his teammates. Four other Monarchs have contributed double-digit tackle games so far this season, including the first career double-digit games by Shawn Asbury and EJ Green.
