NEW ORLEANS – Old Dominion linebacker Jason Henderson earned Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in his career, the Sun Belt office announced on Monday.
A native of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, Henderson recorded 17 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss in ODU's 38-31 win over Louisiana.
Henderson's 17 tackles are the third most by an FBS player this season. The nation's leading tackler a season ago, he currently sits third in the country with 14 tackles per game.
