NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men's golf has its first tournament of the fall season this Monday and Tuesday as the Monarchs travel to Davidson, North Carolina to play in the River Run Collegiate.
The Wildcats are hosting the two-day Collegiate at River Run Country Club, which will feature a par of 70 and a total yardage of 6,871. Monday will have a 9 a.m. shotgun start with 36 holes of continuous play. Tuesday's final round will begin with 8 a.m. tee times off the first and 10th holes. The 14-team field will include App State, Davidson, Delaware, East Carolina, Eastern Michigan, Gardner-Webb, George Mason, High Point, Loyola (Chicago), Old Dominion, Queens (Charlotte), Radford, William & Mary and Winthrop.
Making the lineup for the Monarchs are Aleksander Bjorge, Kaijun Ma, Jakob Chicoyne, Kazuki Yamauchi and Jakob Henriksson.
This is the third year in a row that ODU will be playing in the River Run Collegiate. The Monarchs tied for fifth in 2021 and were led by Gustav Fransson and Rasmus Konradsson, who both recorded five-over par 221s to tie for 16th. ODU placed 13th at last year's tournament as Chicoyne tied for 11th with a one-over 217.
