Maryland 3, ODU 0
The Terrapins (3-1) jumped out to an early 8-4 lead in the opening set, but ODU was able to pull even at 8-8. After a Maryland service error, Jones put away a ball from Munari, who then served an ace. Munari then assisted Bailey Burgess on a kill to knot the score. However, the Terps used a 6-1 swing to go up 19-12 and the Monarchs couldn't recover as the set went to Maryland, 25-19.
Set Two saw another ODU service ace tie the score at 8-8, this time coming from Smith. Maryland earned the next three points for an 11-8 advantage and the two teams traded points the rest of the set. A couple of late kills from Conway and one from Elisa Maggi got ODU to within 24-21, but Maryland converted an attack for the 2-0 match lead.
In the third set, Maryland scored nine unanswered to build a 16-6 lead. That was too much for the Monarchs to overcome as a 25-17 final brought the match to a close.
