NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion women's golf head coach Mallory Kane has added two more Monarchs to her 2023 signing class as Svarin Yuenyong and Carley Rudolf will join the team this fall.

The pair are two of five newcomers for ODU heading into the 2023-24 season. Puneet Bajwa signed back in December, and Faith Garcia and Sarah Mardani were announced in early May.

Svarin "Leiu" Yuenyong | Bangkok, Thailand | Elon
Yuenyong played the last four years at Elon University, averaging a 77.14 with a +5.30 score versus par through 25 tournaments and 73 rounds. A team captain for the Phoenix, she competed in nine tournaments in 2022-23 and owned an average score of 75.31 with a +3.54 score versus par. She carded an eight-over par 224 to tie for sixth at the 2023 CAA Championship, her second-straight Top-10 finish at the conference tournament after tying for ninth in 2022.

"Leiu is going to be a great addition to our team," said Kane. "She had an outstanding career at Elon. She's smart, competitive, and understands what it takes to be a good teammate. I am excited for her to join us this fall."

Why ODU?
"I chose ODU because I want to get new experiences both on and off the course for my last year of college golf. I really look forward to going to Virginia, joining the team, meeting new people, and making memories at Old Dominion."

Carley Rudolf | Virginia Beach, Va. | First Colonial
A Virginia Beach, Virginia native, Rudolf graduated from First Colonial High School. As a freshman in 2015, she won the Virginia High School League Girls State Championship at Red Wing Lake Golf Course with a two-day total of 144. She then carded a one-under 143 to earn Co-Medalist Honors at the 2017 VHSL State Championship, held at Independence Golf Club. Entering her junior year at ODU, she is working towards a communications degree.

On Rudolf, Kane commented, "Carley has her best days of golf ahead of her, which is something I always look for in recruiting. She's worked hard for this opportunity and I'm confident she's going to be a huge part of our successes in the coming years."

Why ODU?
"Great education, awesome golf team and it's close to home!"
