NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's lacrosse team wraps up its regular season with senior day on Saturday, April 29 against the #8 Florida Gators at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex starting at 12 p.m.
Nine seniors will be honored prior to the game.
ODU fell to Cincinnati last Saturday, 17-7. Callie Culhane was the leading scorer for the Monarchs with two goals.
Leading Old Dominion offensively is Sydney Taylor with a team-high 30 points, 21 goals, and nine assists. Caroline Shaefer leads the Monarchs with 45 draw controls tying her for eighth all time in the program single season record book.
Defensively Maria Rekus has caused 31 turnovers which is second in the conference. Jenna Peccia has made 132 saves in goal and has a team high 55 ground balls which puts her fifth in the program single season record book.
#8 Florida is coming off a 16-11 win over Jacksonville. Maggi Hall scored five goals in the win. Emma LoPinto leads the Gators with a team-high 70 points, 46 goals and 23 assists.
ODU and Florida met last season in Gainesville when the Gators won 22-6. Florida leads the all-time series 3-0.
