PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – The 70th-ranked Old Dominion men's tennis team will begin Sun Belt Conference Tournament action on Thursday morning as the second-seeded Monarchs tangle with seventh-seeded James Madison at 10 a.m. at the Peachtree City Tennis Center.

The entire tournament will be streamed on ESPN+ and will have live stats for each match.
 
Scouting ODU
Old Dominion (15-9) enters the tournament winners of its last four matches and seven of its last eight. Cosme Rolland De Ravel leads the team in the spring with a 14-6 record, while Jakob Cadonau is 13-7 and Francois Le Tallec is 12-8. In doubles, Le Tallec and Rolland De Ravel are 13-3 and 6-1 in Sun Belt action. Brandon Perez and Younes Lalami are 5-0 in league matches and have been nationally-ranked most of the season.
 
Scouting JMU
JMU (12-9) saw its three-match winning streak stopped with the 5-2 loss on Saturday. Holden Koons leads the team in the spring with a 14-7 record at line one singles, while Julian Lozano is 12-8 mainly at line two and Edson Sanchez is 12-7 mainly at line five. In doubles, Lozano and Sanchez are 9-5 at line two, while Koons and Francisco Sinopoli are 6-3 at line one.
 
All-Conference Honors
The Sun Belt Conference announced its 2023 Men's Tennis Awards on Tuesday and Old Dominion earned five honors, including two individual awards. Head Coach Dominik Mueller was named Co-Coach of the Year and Cadonau earned Newcomer of the Year honors. Le Tallec was a first team singles selection, Rolland De Ravel earned second team singles honors, while the doubles tandem of Perez and Lalami earned first team recognition.
 
Series History
Old Dominion holds a 33-2 lead in the all-time series dating back to 1985. The Monarchs won the last meeting 5-2 in Norfolk last Saturday to close the regular season.

"Post season is always different and special. JMU made some changes in their lineup compared to last weekend and we will see some different match ups because of that. It was a hard-fought match and I'm expecting the same tomorrow," said ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller.
