ODU Lacrosse Welcomes Virginia Tech For Midweek Matchup On Tuesday

NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Women's Lacrosse team returns home for some midweek action when they welcome the Virginia Tech Hokies to the L.R. Hill Sports Complex for a 12 p.m. game this Tuesday. 
 
The game will be streamed on ESPN+. 
 
ODU is coming off a 16-2 loss to #5 James Madison on Saturday, Apr. 1 as Danielle Dundas and Payton Kisling each scored for the Monarchs. 



Sydney Taylor leads the Monarchs offensively, she with a team-high 26 points and eight assists, and she is tied with Dundas for the team-high in goals with 18.  Caroline Shaefer has a team-high in draw controls with 40 and is now one away from entering the program's top 10 for a single season.  
 
Maria Rekus has 25 caused turnovers and is four away from entering the top 10 for a single season. Jenna Peccia leads the team with 50 ground balls and 119 saves. Her 50 ground balls are one away from entering the top 10 for a single season.  
 
Virginia Tech is coming off a 17-7 win over Louisville on Saturday. Ella Rishko scored seven goals for the Hokies en route to the victory. Leading Tech offensively is Olivia Vergano, who has a team-high 39 points and 30 goals. The team leader in assists is Paige Tyson with 10. 
 
The last time the Monarchs and the Hokies squared off was in 2019 when Virginia Tech won 23-3 in Norfolk. The Hokies lead the all-time series 10-3 and the last win for ODU came in 2016.
