NORFOLK, Va. – Returning to Sun Belt Conference play this weekend, the Old Dominion men's tennis team hits the road for their final regular season road contests visiting Southern Miss on Saturday and league-leading Louisiana on Sunday.

There will be live stats for Sunday's match – found here.

Old Dominion (11-9, 3-1) hits this weekend coming off a 4-2 loss on Wednesday to nationally-ranked Liberty. Francois Le Tallec and Cosme Rolland De Ravel got the clinching point in doubles with a 6-2 win at line three against Liberty, while Le Tallec won 6-4, 6-3 at line two singles for the lone ODU win. The Monarchs are 62nd ranked in the latest ITA poll, while the doubles tandem of Brandon Perez and Younes Lalami are 68th.

Southern Miss (6-10, 0-2) comes into the match Saturday after a 4-0 loss to Troy on Wednesday and have lost five in a row. Olimjon Nabiev leads the team in singles with an 8-6 record, with four other players having five wins. In doubles, Alexander Gima and Alan Sanson lead the team with five wins this spring. ODU leads the all-time series 3-1 having won the last meeting in the 2019 Conference USA Tournament 4-0.

Louisiana (10-6, 3-0) has won its last five matches including a 4-3 win over South Alabama on Sunday. They host JMU on Saturday before ODU comes to town. Karlo Kajin leads the Ragin Cajuns this spring with an 11-3 record, while he and Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez have a team best six wins at the top spot in doubles. This will be the first ever meeting between the schools.

"We are excited to get back to conference play. Southern Miss is a familiar opponent from Conference USA so that might help a little. Louisiana is the only undefeated team in conference play so that will be a huge challenge on to road to overcome," said ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller.

The Monarchs return home for the first of their final two conference matches on April 9 hosting Coastal Carolina at 10 a.m.
