NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Women's Lacrosse team will hit the road this weekend to take on Vanderbilt on Saturday, Mar. 25 starting at 12 p.m.
The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
ODU is coming off a 7-5 loss to ECU in the American Athletic Conference opener. Danielle Dundas scored twice and Jenna Peccia made eight saves in the loss.
Sydney Taylor leads the Monarchs offensively, she has a team-high 25 points and eight assists and is also tied with Dundas for the team lead in goals (17). Caroline Shaefer has a team-high in draw controls with 33 and she is eight away from moving into the top 10 for single season draw controls.
Maria Rekus has 21 caused turnovers and is eight away from entering the top 10 for a single season. Peccia leads the team with 43 ground balls and 119 saves. Her 43 ground balls are eight away from entering the top 10 for a single season.
Vanderbilt opened American Conference play against Cincinnati and lost 19-6. The Commodores also played Towson on Tuesday, Mar. 21 and fell to the Tigers 15-14. Cate Bradley scored four goals in the loss to Towson. Bri Gross leads Vanderbilt with 17 points and 14 goals while Sammy Nuchow has a team-high six assists.
The Monarchs fell to Vanderbilt last season 20-9 and are 0-3 in the all-time series against the Commodores.
