ODU Lacrosse Hosts East Carolina To Open AAC Play

NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Women's Lacrosse team will host East Carolina as they open American Athletic Conference play at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex on Saturday, Mar. 18 starting at 1 p.m.
 
The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
ODU defeated Mount Saint Mary's on Wednesday 8-7. Danielle Dundas scored four goals and Jenna Peccia made 10 saves in the win. 
 
Sydney Taylor leads the Monarchs in points (24), goals (16), and assists (8). Dundas is second in goals with 15 which is a career high for her. Caroline Shaefer has a team-high 30 draw controls.
 
Maria Rekus leads ODU with 20 caused turnovers and is third with 19 ground balls. Peccia leads the team with 42 ground balls, she is 16 away from entering the top 10 in career ground balls and seven away from entering the top 10 for most ground balls in a season. Peccia has also made 100 saves this season.
 
East Carolina is coming off a 16-11 win over Elon on Sunday. Frances Kimel and Leah Bestany each scored four goals for the Pirates in the victory. Kimel leads ECU with 46 points, 25 goals, and 21 assists. 
 
ECU defeated ODU last season 14-11, this will mark the fifth meeting between the two teams and the series is tied 2-2.
