ODU Lacrosse Hosts Longwood On Wednesday Night

NORFOLK, Va. –  The Old Dominion women's lacrosse team will welcome Longwood on Wednesday for a game starting at 6 p.m. ODU is coming off a 18-9 loss on Saturday to Delaware, Moira Olexa had three goals and added an assist in the loss, she has scored three goals in back-to-back games. 
 
Wednesday's game will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
Leading the Monarchs offensively is Lilly Sikind with 16 points and 13 goals. Moira Olexa is second on the team with 13 points, she has seven goals and leads the team with six assists. Sydney Taylor is second on the team with eight goals. Caroline Shaefer leads the team with 14 draw controls. Maria Rekus has a team high 10 caused turnovers and Gracyn Roth is second with nine. Jenna Peccia has made 46 saves on the year, she made her 300th save on Saturday. Peccia is the team leader in ground balls with 28.
 
Longwood is coming off a 16-14 loss to Xavier on Saturday. Emily Cate Smith leads the team with 16 points and 10 assists. Riley McDonald is the leading goal scorer with 10, she scored five goals in the loss to Xavier. 
 
The Monarchs defeated Longwood last season 15-6 in Farmville and ODU leads the all-time series 8-4.
