WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Old Dominion men's tennis team rebounded from a tough loss on Friday to knock off William & Mary 5-2 on Saturday afternoon in Williamsburg.
 
Doubles saw the Monarchs jump out with two wins to clinch the team point. Francois Le Tallec and Cosme Rolland De Ravel got the first win for ODU (6-4) with a 6-1 win at line three, while Younes Lalami and Luca Maldoner clinched the team point with a 6-4 win at line one.
 
In singles, ODU jumped out to a 2-0 lead as Rolland De Ravel carded a 6-2, 6-3 win over Bill Duo at line four. Following a Tribe win, Lalami gives ODU a 3-1 lead with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win over George Davis at the top spot.
 
The Tribe pulled to 3-2, but ODU clinched with a win by a Codie van Schalkwyk 3-6,m 6-1, 6-2 win at line three over Andres Silva. Le Tallec gave ODU the extra point in a 7-5, 7-6 win at line two over Joseph Brailovsky.
 
"W&M is always a tough road match and we needed a battle test on the road for what's ahead for us," said ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller. "Our doubles is starting to improve and I think we did a good job today of handling the pressure moments."
 
ODU is back in action on Thursday hosting Charlotte at 1 p.m. inside Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
