NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Women's Lacrosse team travels to Richmond to take on VCU on Wednesday, February 15 at 1 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
ODU is coming off a 12-11 win over Elon on Saturday. Payton Kisling scored the game-winner with a little over five minutes left in the game. The win is the first for ODU in a season-opener since 2018 and marks the first win as a Monarch for head coach Theresa Walton.
Jenna Peccia had nine ground balls on Saturday which broke the American Athletic Conference single game record. Haley O'Connor and Lilly Siskind lead the Monarchs offensively. Both have scored two goals and have one assist on the year.
VCU is coming off a 14-8 loss to Virginia Tech on Saturday. Hannah Mardiney leads the Rams offensively with three goals and four points. Whitney Liebler is the leader in assists with three.
Last season VCU defeated Old Dominion 11-9, but ODU leads the all-time aeries 4-3.
