NORFOLK, Va. -- Head Coach Dominik Mueller and the Old Dominion Men's Tennis program announced the signings of Jakob Cadonau and Yanis Moundir on Wednesday.

Cadonau is a transfer from Ole Miss and is a native of Kahl am Main, Germany.  He is a three-time German doubles champion and a one-time German singles champion in juniors. Cadonau was ranked third in Germany U18 before college.  At Ole Miss, he won 32 matches and was a member of two NCAA Tournament teams including one that reached the Sweet 16.

MUELLER ON CADONAU
Jakob will bring tremendous experience from the highest level of college tennis to our program. He played in the NCAA Tournament this year and Sweet 16 the previous season, as well as a brutal SEC schedule. This experience will be huge in our first season in the Sun Belt Conference with a full regular season schedule. Jakob is coming to ODU to win championships.

CADONAU ON SIGNING WITH OLD DOMINION
I'm very excited and proud to be a member of the Monarch family. I think I will fit perfectly into this international team and I can't wait to achieve great things with the boys.

Moundir is from Luzern, Switzerland who is currently ranked 44th in the Men's Open Swiss rankings with a UTR of 12.27.  He is the younger brother of former Monarch standout Adam Moundir.

MUELLER ON MOUNDIR
Yanis' passion for ODU is unmatched. From the beginning of the recruiting process, he wanted to be a Monarch. His trajectory in ranking and results over the past two years is going up at a very fast pace and we are excited for him to continue this momentum with us.

MOUNDIR ON SIGNING WITH OLD DOMINION
"I committed to ODU because my brother (Adam Moundir) played here and since then it has been my dream to play there as well. I love playing for a team, getting loud, and give my all to win. ODU has a strong team and I'm certain that I can improve in many areas. The college life will give me a great balance between tennis and education. I have known Coach Dom since my brother played there and I am looking forward to work with him. I love the spirit about ODU and Go Monarchs!"
