NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University men's basketball head coach Jeff Jones announced the signing of Tyreek Scott-Grayson as part of the 2022 recruiting class on Wednesday. Scott-Grayson is a 6-foot-5, 185-pound wing from Brick, N.J., who joins the Monarchs after a brief stint at Northeastern and from UAB.
 
"During his time at UAB, we witnessed Tyreek's ability to score the basketball in a variety of ways," said Jones. "He will provide us with a veteran presence on the wing. I know Tyreek is excited to get to work, as are we."

Scott-Grayson played in six games with Northeastern and averaged 12.3 points along with 5.3 rebounds. In his time with UAB, he had 36 double-figure scoring games and started over half of his career games with the Blazers. He averaged 8.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in his career with UAB. Scott-Grayson had a career-high 30 points, hitting five 3-pointers, against Rice and hauled in career-best 11 rebounds against Marshall.
 
He started his collegiate career at State Fair Junior College where he was a National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region 16 honoree after averaging 13.6 points per game. In high school at Suffield Academy in Connecticut, Scott-Grayson averaged 16 points per game to go with six rebounds and four assists per contest.
 
"Coach Jones and the staff welcomed me in like family. I'm really excited for this opportunity and ready to get to work," Scott-Grayson said.
