• Old Dominion ends the regular season at South Alabama as they finish a season with two road games for the first time in program history.
• ODU lost last week at App State, 27-14. USA came from behind to win at Southern Miss, 27-20.
• Linebacker Jason Henderson leads the country with 168 tackles and holds a 35 tackle lead over No. 2 tackler Jackson Mitchell of UConn, who has 133. Henderson has broken ODU and Sun Belt Conference single-season record for tackles.
• This is the first meeting between Old Dominion and South Alabama.
Henderson Taking Down Records
Linebacker Jason Henderson recorded two tackles at App State before leaving with an injury. It was the first time this season Henderson did not reach double-digit tackles.
Henderson leads the country with 168 tackles and 15.3 tackles per game. The 168 tackles are tied for 12th most in a single-season in FBS history.
He has tied or led ODU in tackles in 10-of-11 games this season. All 10 of those have been double-digit tackle games.
Henderson is the only FBS player with two 20+ tackle game on the season. He notched 21 tackles against Arkansas State to set the ODU single-game record and broke it a month later with 22 stops against Georgia Southern.
Henderson was named a semifinalist for the Bednarik Award given to the Outstanding Defensive Player in the country. He was one of just two semifinalists from a Group of Five program. The other was Cincinnati's Ivan Pace Jr.

Running Watson
Redshirt junior running back Blake Watson had 10 carries for 69 yards at App State, the most yards by Watson since he rushed for 65 yards at Georgia State.
Watson caught a career-high seven passes for 73 yards at App State.
For the season, Watson has 139 attempts for 803 yards and five touchdowns.
Watson also has 31 receptions for 226 yards and a touchdown.

Eatin' Some Candy
Offensive lineman Nick Saldiveri has accepted an invitation to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl. Saldiveri becomes the third Monarch and first offensive lineman to participate in the Senior Bowl.
The Senior Bowl is played on Feb. 4, 2023 at South Alabama's Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile. The game is broadcast on the NFL Network.
