Volleyball Set For Road Series at Georgia State

NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion volleyball has its final road trip of the regular season this week as the team travels to Atlanta for a Sun Belt Conference series at Georgia State this Friday and Saturday.
 
Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+ and live stats will also be available. This weekend marks the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

About ODU
The Monarchs (9-14, 4-6 Sun Belt) are currently fifth in the Sun Belt East Division after splitting a conference series with App State last weekend at the ODU Volleyball Center. ODU earned a straight-set victory over the Mountaineers on Friday but fell 3-1 to the visitors on Saturday.
 
ODU's offense is paced by Myah Conway's 269 kills (3.24 per set). Ashley Peroe is second on the team with 154 kills and Bailey Burgess ranks third with 135. Teresa Atilano enters the weekend with 672 assists and 33 service aces this season. She is currently seventh in the league in both aces and aces per set (0.40). Jamie Bissmeyer and Anna Burkhardt lead ODU's back row with 233 and 168 digs, respectively. At the net, Burgess has registered a team-high 83 blocks (1.04 per set), Conway owns 66 blocks and Hailey Duncan 62.
 
About Georgia State
The Panthers (5-19, 1-11 Sun Belt) have dropped nine in a row and are coming off a 3-0 and 3-1 loss at Southern Miss. Despite its struggles on the court, GSU ranks second in the Sun Belt in team total blocks (208), third in team service aces (150) and fourth in blocks per set (2.29) and team digs (1,327). The Panthers are currently seventh in the East Division standings.
 
Julianna Truscott has 207 kills and Erin Wyatt is at 194 kills to lead the Panther attack. Jenna Brown owns 473 assists, Maren Palmer is second with 214 and Laughlin Murray enters the series with 121. Brown is the team's top server with 28 aces, though Palmer and Wyatt are right behind her with 25 and 23, respectively. Livy Kowalkowski has dug 389 balls and Wyatt has the second-most digs with 202. Clara Bednarek and Laura Ehieze are the go-to options at the net as the pair have combined for 167 blocks.

ODU closes out the regular season at home against Southern Miss next Thursday and Friday, Nov. 10-11. The Monarchs will recognize their seniors before the start of Friday's match.
