NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion University swim team opens its 2022-23 campaign on Saturday, Oct. 8 as they travel to George Washington for a tri-meet against GW and James Madison. The meet begins at 1 p.m.
The Monarchs brought in 20 newcomers and has a total of 61 members on the team.
ODU finished off last year with a bang both in the pool and in the classroom, as once again both teams were named CSCAA Scholar All-America teams, as the women secured a 3.27 GPA and the men a 3.14 GPA.
The Monarchs return a host of swimmers from a season ago, including all-conference honoree Tara Enneking and academic all-conference performer Summer Sampson. Noah Wilkins led the men's squad with a second-place finish at last year's CCSA meet and returns along with a host of top finishers, including Jacob Cobb, Carson Doll and Hugo Eriksson.
Old Dominion returns home on Saturday, Oct. 29 to host Davidson in the home opener.
