NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's tennis team opened its fall schedule this past weekend at the Princeton Invitational and came away with a strong performance in the three-day mock-dual event.
Old Dominion faced off with teams from Michigan State, Tulsa, LSU along with host Princeton
and came out with 13 wins in singles to go with nine in doubles.
"We scheduled this tournament to get a lot of matches early in the fall and see how we square up against high quality competition. We got exactly that," said ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller. "Our guys competed hard all weekend and won a ton of matches. Our doubles looked strong all weekend so that is something to build on."
The doubles pairings of Younes Lalami and Brandon Perez went 4-0 on the weekend, while Yanis Moundir and Cosme Rolland De Ravel went 3-0 in doubles. Lalami, Rolland De Ravel, Moundir, Oliver Tobisch and Nicola Vidal won two singles matches apiece.
Old Dominion will next see action in the ITA All-Americans in Tulsa, Oklahoma starting October 1.
