NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Director of Athletics Dr. Wood Selig announced a restructuring of his senior leadership staff on Wednesday.
Casey Cegles will be the Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director of Development and Revenue Generation. He will maintain his responsibilities with the ODAF but will now oversee revenue generation and the day-to-day operations of the ODAF. Jena Virga will continue her role as the Executive Director of the ODAF. Cegles returned to ODU in October after spending the previous seven years at Kent State as Deputy Athletics Director.
Eric Bohannon will take over as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Broadcasting and Communications. He will continue oversight of athletic communications and will oversee the video department and all website related material. He joined ODU in 2010.
Ashley Vellines will be the new Director of Special Events and Premium Seating. She re-joined ODU in May of 2021 and will be in charge of premium seating for football and men's and women's basketball and will organize ODAF special events. Vellines was an assistant lacrosse coach at ODU from 2013-18.
Dex Blank will be the Director of Athletic Development. Blank came to ODU in June of 2021 and receives a promotion from assistant director to the director of athletic development.
The ODAF has two openings: The Assistant Director of Athletic Development and Donor Relations/Stewardship Manager.
ODU is also hiring an Associate Athletic Director for Marketing, an Assistant Athletic Director for Creative Video and a Director of Social Media.
