PHILADELPHIA – The Old Dominion women's rowing team turned in a pair of impressive showings this weekend at the Kerr Cup hosted by Drexel University.
The Varsity 8 came out with a win in their heat in a time of 7:18.8 for a nearly five-second win over Fordham. They continued their momentum into the Grand Final where they took third in 7:08.5 to trail only the Philly schools of Temple (7:02.4) and Drexel (6:53.3).
In the varsity four race, the Monarchs came in second in their heat in a time of 8:43.1 which advanced them to the Grand Final. In that race, the Monarchs came in fifth in 9:30.8.
Old Dominion will compete next in the Iowa Invite on Saturday, April 23. The Monarchs will tangle with the host Hawkeyes, Michigan State and Tulsa in Iowa City.
