NORFOLK, Va.  – Old Dominion University baseball scored runs in each of the first six innings on its way to a 15-5 win over Princeton on Tuesday evening at the Bud Metheny Ballpark.
 
Old Dominion (10-1) scored a run on a Matt Coutney RBI double in the first and scored seven runs in the second. In the seven run second, Brock Gagliardi led off with a walk and moved to second on a single by Ryan Teschko. After a sacrifice bunt by Luke Waters, Chris Dengler drove home Teschko and Gagliardi with a single. Kenny Levari followed with an RBI single and Carter Trice did the same. Andy Garriola scored Trice from first with a double down the left field line. ODU batted around in the inning, as Gagliardi hit a two-run double to cap the scoring.
 
ODU added a pair of runs in the third on an RBI ground out from Levari and a run scoring double from Trice.
 
The Monarchs made the score 13-0 in the fourth. Dengler delivered an RBI single, while Levari struck out but reached on a wild pitch that scored Teschko. After a walk by Trice to load the bases, Garriola was hit by a pitch to force in a run.
 
Princeton (0-8) got on the board in the top of the fifth and ODU answered with a Dengler RBI single to make the score 14-1.
 
The Tigers scored two more in the sixth and ODU got its final run of the day on a James Tarkenton II single to score Trice.
 
Princeton scored runs in the eighth and ninth for the final 15-5 score.
 
Dengler had his second-straight multi-hit game, going 4-for-5 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Trice was 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs and Waters was 2-for-4 on the day.
 
Blake Morgan earned his first career win with five shutout innings, striking out seven and not walking a batter.
 
The Monarchs host Stony Brook in a three game series beginning Friday, March 11 at 3 p.m.
