SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – The Old Dominion men's golf team enters the final day of the Donald Ross Collegiate Classic in ninth place as second-round play was suspended due to darkness on Monday.
The Monarchs fired a 16-over-par score of 304 in the first round on Monday morning but are 5-over in the suspended second round.
Rasmus Konradsson is currently tied for 18th at 3-over. The senior carded a 3-over 75 in the first round and is even with six holes remaining in his second round. Jakob Henriksson is one shot behind Konradsson and in a tie for 23rd. He opened with a 74 and is 2-over through 12 holes.
Gustav Fransson shot a 77 in the morning and is 2-over after 11 holes in the second round. Fransson is currently tied for 40th with Jakob Chicoyne, who opened with a 78.
Mason McCoy is tied for 73rd at 12-over. Competing as an individual, Kazuki Yamauchi is tied for 77th.
Elon is currently first in the team standings at 8-over. Seton Hall is one shot behind in second place.
Only six individuals are currently under par. Loyola (Md.)'s Brandon Berry leads the field at 5-under. William Huang of Princeton is in second at 3-under, and three individuals are tied at 2-under.
Second round play will conclude Tuesday morning before the third round begins.
