NORFOLK, Va. -- The 62nd-ranked Old Dominion men's tennis team will return to action this weekend with a pair of Conference USA matchups. Starting on Friday at 1 p.m., the Monarchs host UTSA. Two days later, they'll host 45th-ranked Charlotte at 11 a.m.
 
ODU leads the all-time series with UTSA 3-1, though the Roadrunners won the last meeting 4-2 in Norfolk on Apr. 18, 2015. Against Charlotte, the Monarchs lead the all-time series 5-0 after winning 4-3 in Charlotte on Apr. 15, 2021.
 
The Monarchs are 11-6 overall and 2-1 in conference play after a 4-1 win over Temple on Sunday. Luca Maldoner leads the team in spring singles wins with 11, while Younes Lalami has 10. In doubles, Lalami and Oliver Nolan lead with six wins, while Francois Le Tallec and Codie van Schalkwyk are 5-0.
 
UTSA heads to the coast with a 9-8 overall record and an 0-2 mark in C-USA. The Roadrunners last saw action on Sunday falling 6-1 to 25th-ranked Texas A&M. Tiago Torres leads them in the spring with a 12-4 record, while Joan Caolin is 8-4 at #1 singles. Sebastian Rodriguez and Torres lead the team in doubles with a 9-3 mark mainly at #2.
 
Charlotte is 12-4 overall and 2-0 in conference play with a match at VCU before heading to Norfolk on Sunday. The 49ers are currently ranked 45th nationally and are led by Vasco Prata and Coy Simon with 11 wins in singles this spring. Thomas Brown and Steffanos Savva are right behind them with 10 singles wins this spring. In doubles, Abhimanyu Vannemred and Luke Thomson lead the team with six wins.
 
After this weekend, the Monarchs will be off until April 15 when they head to VCU.
